I breathe in the mehek of
the shonar aagun which burns soft,
on the palm of my hand,
making gentle stream of my emotions flow through the sand.
The guardians - with pride stand,

paying homage and protection to the bountiful land.

My mastishq gives in,
and makes me breathless,
as the birth of another jaan takes place within
me of awe and wonder
as I stare into your seemless face
laced with ancient heritage
above and under.

thrives lives of those who have known none other,
than Ajmer - "jahan basa hai jahaan saara" 

as quoted by a begging mother,
who lives just round the corner. 

Mehek - In Arabic the meaning of Mahek is: Pleasant smell.

Shonar aagun (Bengali) - Golden Fire 

Mastishq - Brain or Mind (Hindi) 

Jaan - In Hindi/Urdu/Farsi, this term means 'life'; it's a term of endearment, like darling or dear.
