The Chronicles Of Chitrangada Part IV { Idle Days }

Chitra sat gracefully weaving,
A garland of flowers,
Arjuna had been captivated,
By her skills and powers,
He said to her in a tone so sweet,
that he loved her so,
and it was a merry meet.

In idle love they sat for hours,
and stared at flowers wild,
Chitra spoke out to her love,
“Let our love abide,
By the nature of these woodlands,
Unlike materialistic court men.”

The series was written as a part of an assignment for children's fiction. The poems are written in the context of CHITRA - the one scene play by Rabindranath Tagore.
