Known for the beauty that to nature he brings,
Stood there worried for Chitra’s fate,
Knowing she must give it up,
Much sooner than late.

Madana, here, the good Lord of Love,
Who blesses those faithful from heaven up above,
Is worried too, for he knows Chitra’s fate,
Their work is done and so arrives the dreadful date.

The series was written as a part of an assignment for children's fiction. The poems are written in the context of CHITRA - the one scene play by Rabindranath Tagore.
