Words Of Expressions

The mankind today is devoid of the knowledge of power, which a pen holds. I confess, myself, that I do not conceive any reason as to why I write this allegory, but, what I do know is that I wish to convey my perspective to you.
Each of us, have different identities, ideologies and perhaps psychology, but certain things stitch us together. One of these knitted threads of nature is expression.
Expression, I believe, is a man's greatest asset; the one which distinguishes us from nature's other creations.
We draw, sing, write, speak, think, imagine, dream and even fantasize. I feel enamored at times, of the range of human expression. It is truly fascinating. Charming. Mystical...
Of all the variety of expression that we depict, the words of a man on paper, is undoubtedly, of the most versatile form.  People, who write, may have a peculiar sort of scenario or picture to voice, but the interpretation of the reader is what makes it more intelligible. The way each reader would decipher the words of the artist would be completely distinctive. This makes writing, a more charming portrayal of thoughts. The reader, develops a more personal attachment with the prose and inconceivably so, they also relate it with their day to day experiences. Funnily, the writings also create a sense of déjà vu in a person! At times, it also provides the spark of inspiration or a touch of a friendly hand.
Writings, in forms of poetry and books have been a delicacy of an individual's soul for centuries down the line. Sometimes words utter the feelings which a mouth can't. Right from the Bronze age of literature to the modern, 21st century compositions, writings have been the most prominent means of expression. The change is the face of literature throughout the centuries though, has been very significant. The transition of literature from romanticism to modernism, also reflect the changing perceptions and views in society. Literature in a fair way, is the trace of evolution of different cultures and civilizations.

Today's literature can be characterized by it's fast pace and unaltered reality. Unlike the former belles - lettres, which was based on Aesthetic and Utopian ideas, literature today gives nothing, but a true reflection of the society.

“We live and breathe words. .... It was books that made me feel that perhaps I was not completely alone. They could be honest with me, and I with them. Reading your words, what you wrote, how you were lonely sometimes and afraid, but always brave; the way you saw the world, its colors and textures and sounds, I felt--I felt the way you thought, hoped, felt, dreamt. I felt I was dreaming and thinking and feeling with you. I dreamed what you dreamed, wanted what you wanted--and then I realized that truly I just wanted you.”
