The Chronicles Of Chitrangada Part VI { Search For The Truth }

Arjuna remembers the days he spent,
Hunting with his brothers,
The clouds were favoring,
The wind so pleasant,
Chitra stands curious as to,
What it is that bothers,

Arjuna so much, was it a deer
he wanted to hunt or a sport,
of questions that he darted,
Towards Chitra’s fort.

“Have you no home to return to dear?”
“I know no ties with the world.”
Chitra replies in tones so bleak and clear
“Hold me, lord, my days remain numbered”.

The series was written as a part of an assignment for children's fiction. The poems are written in the context of CHITRA - the one scene play by Rabindranath Tagore.
