Sometimes
people need an inspiration to do things which are easier said than done.
I would
like to dedicate this story to my favorite YouTuber, Pewdiepie. Thank
you for playing siren blood curse which is the main inspiration for me to write
this. I would also like to thank all the people who are reading this, I love
doing it for you and I hope you find it entertaining too. Thanks to my parents
for supporting me and backing me in troublesome situations and of course my
best friends to console me throughout my depressed life.
Thank
you.
Based on real life myths and rumors.

The engine of the car died.
I was screwed. Never in my wildest of dreams I had ever imagined that the
situation will become so about faced. Maybe all myths and rumors were
true then, Hanuda village was really cursed. I got out of the car and
looked around. All I could see was a few abandoned and wrecked cottages which
may have belonged to the murdered villagers. There were no signs of human
existence around. Dusk was upon the village and I couldn't go around looking
for people now. There was every chance for me to lose my track which could be
worse. I had no other alternative; I had to spend the night there. I walked in
the blood stained streets of Hanuda village. Silence lingering everywhere. I
had my heart in my mouth as I entered one of those abandoned cottages. I was
living one of my worst nightmares. My conscience knew that I was out on a limb.
If anything happened to me then nobody would ever know... My mother, my father,
my girlfriend, I loved them more than myself... I would just be one of the
thousands of prey that Hanuda village would have had... I would just be a
memory, which would be erased by the ravages of time.

The house had a nasty smell
to it. The coldness numbed my skin and the whistling of the wind added to the
eeriness of the place. There were red stains all over the wooden cottage; I
could feel the emotions of the people who once used to own the house. It was
sad... Morbid. I felt as if being watched over by someone, but couldn't trace its
existence. I looked around; it was just as they showed in television, a low
height table with a typical Japanese lamp hanging on top of it. I
noticed that there was a framed photo of a family, probably the one who lived
there. Guess it wasn't of much use then... they would have been slayed long ago
by the callous man who brought this destruction upon this village.
It's said that the man murdered the villagers because he was disturbed
... It's amazing how disturbed people can be to murder 33 villagers let alone
one of them.. So many innocent lives had been sacrificed... the village had
been cursed. The innocent souls still lingering in the shadow of evil
that gave them the strength to control things through the parallel world... and
seeking answers to their untimely demise.
That was why I was there,
in one of the most formidable places in the world, to carve out the missing
piece of puzzle which mystified the world of paranormal investigators. But I
wasn't just one of them I was different, I had to do something that others
hadn't done, create history. Did "Shibito"(The walking dead) really
exist? Is the history of the town really dark as the rumors suggest? Could I
find something which others might have overlooked? My thoughts were interrupted
by the loud thunder that soared throughout the village. I put down the photo on
the table and prayed for the family's soul to rest in peace. I climbed up the
wooden staircase to see if there was anything useful which I could utilize to
my benefit. The rooms were empty and darkness was smudged by the ray of light
entering through the window, I could see something twinkling in the moonlit
darkness. Something red.
My conscience warned me,
it could have been a trap but I dismissed it. I was just being a paranoid I
thought to myself. I slyly tiptoed my way to that glittering red object. I
laughed at myself as I stared at the object, it was a locket.
An Intriguing object to find in these wretches I said to myself and picked
it up. It had an uncanny glow to it. I could show this to others as a proof of
my visit to this village. I hung it around my neck and proceeded.

The headlight of the car was flashing I noticed... I cursed myself for being so
careless; wasting my car's battery wasn't one of the wisest of things to do.
The village had an algid & cloudy atmosphere to it now. I
went inside the car and rested myself on the driver's seat and turned on the
heater. The weather was making it all the more worse for me. Life can be so cruel
sometimes, it makes us suffer for almost every reason we give it. There was desperacy
inside me to get back to my home, away from this dreadful place. It seemed strange,
I had never missed my family so much, Shocking, and how one moment can change
your perspective. It made me realize the importance of my family, my loved ones
in my life that was the kind of influence Hanuda was having on me. Thoughts
were stirring in my mind genteelly... my eyes felt heavy and soon I fell
down in the eternity of my dreams ... My world.

"You would not want to be here" a famine voice said.
"Whoa ... Who Are You?
I can't see anything!" desperate voice came from me.
"It doesn't matter who
I am, but you must return to your family before it's too late" said she.
It made me think for a
moment, who was this? Why was there only darkness around? Where was I?
"Too Late?! What in
the heaven are you talking about? See, whoever you are, I want you to know that
it's taken me too much effort to reach here. I can't let my efforts go down in
vain. I have come here for answers, not to flee like cowards when I find myself
flying in the face of danger! I shall have my answers!"
The voice chuckled.
"You mortal beings
never understand, do you? I've done my part. If you don't leave this place then
you shall suffer the wrath of the curse."
I heard footsteps at some
distance, it was fading away...
"Hey! But who are
you?" My voice echoed in the darkness.
The footsteps stopped.
The voice chortled.
"Just a
messenger" she said in a mystical voice and the
footsteps disappeared.

The shrill buzz from a faraway place woke me up. I could feel the ring of the
siren cloy me, making every part of my body ache in irritation. I pulled myself
up from the front seat. "God, that felt so real" I said out loud
while massaging my head. Where did the sound of siren come from? Was there
another village nearby? I was confused. I had to get my head straight. I shook
of the dizziness by sprinkling my face with some water. "Okay, now
focus" I thought to myself. The siren couldn't have gone on its own. That
meant that there was someone still alive in this village. But who would be so
foolish to be in this village? I didn't know. The idea itself gave me Goosebumps. Then
suddenly I saw something move behind my car. I turned around quickly; I
could feel the jitters within my body, cold sweat running down my spine. Was I hallucinating?
But dismissed the possibility of hallucination and consoled my mind that it was
just an animal. Although, I knew it wasn't. The ringing of siren was a positive
sign of things to come maybe. If there was someone living in this village, then
I could get some help to get my answers and return to my house as soon as
possible. I got up, shut the door of my car and went on towards the sound
of the siren.

The heavens had opened up, making the terrain track muddy. I stepped carefully
on the bespattered road as there was every chance of me slipping on it ...
or so I felt. My luck had already betrayed me on several occasions, same was in
this instance. I had a gut feeling of me flying on the face of danger as I
walked along with my alarmed senses. As I walked along the beaten track,
towards the ring of the siren, I saw things which looked astonishingly dreadful
to me... I had a feeling I was about to throw up, but I restrained myself on
focusing on my goal to get out of this place... Wretched graveyards with a
pungent rotten smell ... Abandoned shops and cottages which will never again be
used.... The wilderness of the place shadowing it's past ... I could feel
something throbbing inside me. Maybe it was my heart. There was something about
this place which screamed death and dread. I could see something huge in front
of me a shallow figure of a tower. I narrowed my eyelids to see clearly ...
Indeed ... It was the watch tower from where siren had rung. The happiness
filled me from head to toe, I had always been a happy go lucky man it's just I
never realized how much until now. I ran towards it absent mindedly, with my
rain soaked clothes feeling increasingly heavy.

I
screamed - "Anybody here?!" as I stood at the threshold of the
watchtower which was standing there like a mighty ancient piece of architecture,
moss eminent all over it. The door locked from inside. I looked around childishly,
as if I had been one of the little kids who has had lost his toys. I cast a
glance around, everything was at a standstill, and the silence was loud without
a trace of any living soul there. I had to find another way inside. I rethought
about all the possibilities, from breaking the door to look out for a secret
passage which would somehow lead me into it. None of the possibilities seemed
to make much headway. I thought of moving on, but the fear inside rebelled
against it. I thought I could see shallow figures of people far off. Maybe
there were people after all ... A sudden heavy blow to my head knocked down at
the ground. Struggling to get back upon my feet, I could feel losing my grip on
my senses, everything was blurring out. Then, I saw her, standing over me as if
she had tried practically 'to blow my brains off’. I felt raged but along with
it came only helplessness as whatever I tried speaking was escaping as mere
mumbles. My body let go, mud embraced my face as it fell on the ground. Was it
the end? The end of my story? The ringing of the siren was the last thing I
heard. I passed out.
